"The NYC Sketchbook" is a comprehensive artist book of the painter Paul Pretzer. During his six-month work stay in New York City, from November 2012 to May 2013, he created an artist book that follows predetermined layout-specifications concerning size and number of pages. In the manner of a sketchbook he has worked on “The NYC Sketchbook” using techniques like drawing, collage and painting. The motifs and themes are based on Paul Pretzer’s experience during his stay in New York City and visualize the thought and work processes of the artist.
